French President Emmanuel Macron has announced plans to renovate the Louvre Museum, which is expected to cost around 700 million euros. The project will include a new entrance, a special spot for the Mona Lisa, and new exhibition rooms under one of the museum's courtyards, costing around 400 million euros. The renovation will be funded entirely from the museum's coffers, including income from its Abu Dhabi branch and expected donations from countries such as the United States. Macron also plans to increase the entrance fee for foreign visitors from outside the European Union to help cover the costs. The project is expected to be completed by 2031 at the latest.
